Introduction

Scary Cow, based in San Francisco, California, is an educational production company focused on teaching adults how to make films. It accomplishes this by focusing on a learn-by-doing approach to creating film and by utilizing the resources of the community. Every four months, Scary Cow holds a screening at the [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Victoria_theatre_%28san_francisco%29 Victoria Theatre] . All of the audience are provided ballots and they vote for their favorite films. Those ballots are tabulated and budgets are provided to the teams with the most votes. This encourages the teams with the best films to continue working together and creating additional great films in the future.
