Future Radio is a local community radio station serving Norwich and based in the West Norwich suburb of Earlham, as a part of the NR5 Project charity. The station is run by four full time staff and dozens of volunteers from across Norwich.

Future Radio first broadcast in May 2004 with its first 28 day Restricted Service Licence (RSL). Six such RSLs in total were broadcast on the former frequency 105.1FM.

On August 6th 2007, Future Radio launched full time on 96.9FM from the new studios on Motum Road, Norwich.cite web |url=http://www.futureradio.co.uk/about.html |title=About Future Radio |accessdate=2008-03-10 |publisher=Future Radio ] The station's first song was 'Once In A Lifetime' by Talking Heads.

Using the tag line 'the Community Alternative', Future Radio has a wide variety of programming to cater for different musical tastes within Norwich. Multilingual programmes in Lithuanian and Filipino are also broadcast.
