- The Francesco St Jerome
The painting dates from the height of Giovane's fame and artistic ability. One of the most outstanding aspects of the painting is its fine detail and amazingly bright colours, paintings on copper often retain their brightness and condition better than those on canvas. Lord Mark Antony Lawrence O.B.E.B.S.G who owns the painting wishes to loan it to a museum or gallery in the near future and said "I really would love for the painting to be on show to the public, why be selfish with such a beautiful painting". Lord Lawrence is believed to be one of the youngest and most successful art dealers in the UK ,The painting is currently stored in a bank.
"It might Be worth a great amount of money...but I'm just about mad enough to keep it!"
