He met and dates the daughter of a general Claudia Morrel. Over time he grew sick of the job and Claudia. He and Claudia broke up and he was instructed by his commanding officers to deliver a suitcase of money to an assassin to kill a French army traitor. Louie instead took the money for himself and killed the traitor. he became an extremely good contract killer. In time Claudia, who wanted to get away from her overbearing father joined him. He accepted Erich Abel's contract to kill Mitch Rapp. Claudia in the meantime has gotten pregnant and so has Rapp's wife Anna. Louie puts a bomb in Rapp's garage. When Rapp and his wife are in the house Louie detonates the bomb and kills Anna, but Rapp survives. Claudia is extremely upset with him for killing a pregnant Anna and she leaves Louie. Claudia then gives information to the CIA about Abel and the assassination attempt. Louie and Claudia get back together and move to Spain. There they have their baby. Nine months later Rapp tracks them there and Louie voluntarily puts himself in front of Rapp's gun ready to pay for killing Anna. He has retired and he is a different person than he was before. Rapp see's this and seeing their baby changes his mind. Instead of shooting Louie he lets him go and live the rest of his life with Claudia and the baby.
