Gulab Khandelwal

Gulab Khandelwal (1924 - ) is an Indian poet born in Navalgarh, Rajasthan on 21st February, 1924.

Education

After a childhood in Gaya, Bihar he went to the Banaras Hindu University in Benaras graduating with a BA in 1943. While at college, he came into contact with great Indian poets such as Bedhab Benarsi, Maithily Sharan Gupt, Nirala and Harivansh Rai Bachchan.] . Literary career

His first collection "Poetry" was published in 1941 and he has since published 36 more some of which have been digitised by the Digital Library of India. For the most part, Khandelwal lives with his son and daughter-in-law in the States. He has worked extensively with Indian organizations in the States and also presided on meetings in New York on "Vishwa Hindi Sammelan".
