Ravindra Pinge

Ravindra Pinge (b 13 March 1926) is a Marathi writer. His family is originally from Konkan. Pinge himself grew up in Mumbai, but his writing depicts his love of Konkan. He has published more than 30 books, many of them collections of his previously published materials. Short articles introducing contemporary famous personalities are his speciality. He also delights in traveling and chronicling his travels. A voracious reader of Marathi and English literature, he has introduced several foreign writers to Marathi readers. He counts Durga Bhagwat among his influences.
