Usha Parkhi

Dr Usha Parkhi (b 1933) is a Hindustani vocalist from Nagpur. She started learning under D G alias Bhayyaji Vazalwar. Later the eminent teacher and singer Jagannathbuwa Purohit 'Gunidas' gave her tuition in 1960s but he died soon after their association started.

Usha Parkhi has a doctorate in music from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. She used to perform in concerts even in her early 70s. She has been a reputed music teacher in Nagpur.
