Eliza Burgess

Eliza Burgess Young (8 December 182720 August 1915) was one of the wives of Brigham Young.

Eliza Burgess was the second eldest daughter of James Burgess, a tailor, and his wife Betty. The family left Lancashire, England for the United States in 1845. Eliza became Brigham Young's 42nd wife when they married on October 3 1850. They had one child, a son, Alfales (3 October 185330 March 1920).

Eliza was the last of Young's wives to pass away when she died aged 87 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is buried in Salt Lake City cemetery, plot #P-9-4-1-E.
