Khiroda - Village of great political icons :Khiroda village is located in Satpuda Hills on northern side of Savda at a distance of 7 km on Burhanpur - Ankaleshwar Road. This village is birth place of Ex-legislative assembly head and Maharashtra State minister for Finance/ Education/ Revenue/ Forestry and other important ministries holding Madhukarrao Chaudhari (popularly known as Balasaheb). Village also has national level identity through hardships and great works from his father and senior freedom fighter Dhanaji Nana Chaudhari. He holds influencing role in holding first rural congress at Khiroda that bought Nation's topmost leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Vinoba Bhave, Sane Guruji, Abdul Gaffar Khan and Vallabhbhai Patel to this village.Today's Khiroda is known for its revolutionary changes in educational system and having college of education, fine arts college and other graduating colleges and schools. Khiroda has a population of 7,000 and main work area here is farming. The main corp cultivated by farmers is Banana. Village has region's majority freedom fighters and fine artists having shown phenomenal performance in fine arts field.
