Orangutan Lymphocryptovirus Virus classification Group: Group I (dsDNA) Family: Herpesviridae Subfamily: Gammaherpesvirinae Genus: Lymphocryptovirus Species: Orangutan Lymphocryptovirus The orangutan lymphocryptovirus (LCV) was the first herpesvirus isolated from an orangutan.[1] It is also known by the names: Pongine herpesvirus 2, PoHV-2, and Orangutan herpesvirus.
