Allmusic ]Tour History and Information
Worth Dying For lead worship at Spirit West Coast for the first time at the Monterey leg of the festival. It was their first major music festival and they received critical acclaim from people who had been attending the festival, as well as the organizers, who immediately asked WDF to return for the following year's festival as well as Spirit West Coast Del Mar in 2007. For the Monterey Festival in 2007, they opened one day on the main stage leading worship and The Stadium ministries ran their first Ammunition conference at the campsite in which several youth groups participated. Worth Dying For appeared at Spirit West Coast in Del Mar in 2008 and will again do their second annual Ammunition Conference at the campsite. They will also participate in the Alive Festival in June 2008. Participate in the Creation Festivals East and West, and will go on the Creation Tour in the fall of 2008.
Ammunition Conference
Ammunition Conference is the annual conference youth conference put on by Worth Dying For and The Stadium youth ministries every year. It is held on the camp grounds of Spirit West Coast. The first conference attracted several youth groups and several more will join them for the second one. Speakers have included Glen Berteau, Chris Hill, Pat Shatzline, Matt Pitt and others.
Call to Arms
Originally, Worth Dying For was going to format itself similarly to
Hillsong United , having a variety of musicians that would fill needs for services and travelling as they were needed. It became apparent as time passed that WDF worked better with its core five, and the format was changed, with four of the younger members of the band spun off to form Call to Arms. [ [http://www.myspace.com/call2armsmusic MySpace.com - Call To Arms - MODESTO, California - Rock / Christian / Alternative - www.myspace.com/call2armsmusic ] ] Currently, Call to Arms leads worship services at The Stadium (Jr. High/High School), The Stadium Unplugged (College), and other events when Worth Dying For is touring playing mostly WDF's music, although they have written original music themselves. The band is led by pianist Dalisha Turner and guitarist Rochelle LeGuern with bassit Alex Contreras and Drummer Brandon Spangler. Call to Arms plans to release a demo to sell at their events soon.References
