affiliations =KCFA (106.1 FM) is a
radio station broadcasting aRegional Mexican format. Licensed toArnold, California , USA. The station is currently owned by Kcfa, Inc.. The station's signal seems to be actually too powerful as it can be heard as far westward as the city of
Fairfield, California , which is beyond its target coverage area. It fights with and obstructs the signal ofKMEL , a FM radio station based inSan Francisco operating under the same frequency, throughout the city of Fairfield. However, Fairfield is considered to be under the San Francisco radio market and should not have an obstructed signal of KMEL.The same is true for the
Altamont Pass leaving the city ofLivermore, California traveling eastward. As soon as the Altamont Pass is reached, KCFA's signal cuts off KMEL's signal completely, even though Livermore is also still under the San Francisco radio market.Having said this, KCFA has a powerful, unobstructed signal in both the cities of
Sacramento, California andStockton, California , despite the fact that these two cities are over 40 miles apart with completely different radio markets. Therefore its the only station that actually serves both the Sacramento and Stockton/Modesto radio markets at the same time. Whether or not it has the proper license to serve both markets is not known.Translators
In addition to the main station, KCFA is relayed by an additional 3 translators to widen it's broadcast area.RadioTranslators
