Trans-Caspia

Trans-Caspia

Trans-Caspia is the seldom used name for the region east of the Caspian sea. It can mean either Turkmenistan in particular or Central Asia in general. The term has little or no importance in terms of culture or modern politics, but was historically sometimes used in times of Russian Empire in political and cultural sense.
