Marco Mazzi Born May 5, 1980 Field Contemporary art Training University of Florence Marco Mazzi(born May 5, 1980) is an Italian contemporary artist and filmmaker. He is also a poet and has edited books of poetry, such as The Other Voice,[1] the first Italian translation of Yoshimasu Gozo's poetry.
Biography
Mazzi studied Contemporary Literature at the University of Florence and visited Japan, where he studied Japanese avant-garde artists and visual poetry. He exhibitions in which at the 798 Art District in Beijing (China),[2] the Komaba Art Museum of Tokyo (Japan)[3] and the Torino “Artissima” Art Fair (Italy).[4] In January 2008 The Watari Museum of Contemporary Art of Tokyo held the first solo exhibition of the artist in Japan, and Mazzi’s film Voyager, a Journey Through Time and Water (2005–2008)[5] was premiered. In October 2009 the Museo Laboratorio di Arte Contemporanea (MLAC) of Rome held Mazzi's exhibition "Seeing and Knowing, the naturalization of vision"[1], curated by the Italian poet and art critic Lorenzo Carlucci.
