Jane Daniel is the owner and manager of Mt. Ivy Press, which published "" in 1997. After a law suit brought by Misha Defonseca, the author of the book, a Boston court ordered Daniel to pay Defonseca $22.5 million and took away Mt Ivy's copyright rights. [http://www.newsday.com/news/nationworld/world/wire/sns-ap-holocaust-book-hoax,0,7989045.story.] The book went on to become an international bestseller and the subject of a French feature film, Survivre avec les loups (Survival with Wolves). Ten years after this defeat Daniel began to write a book about the case and post it, chapter by chapter, on a blog. It was here that she formulated first doubts on the authenticity of the story. Together with Marc Metdepenningen, a Belgian journalist working for the newspaper Le Soir, Daniel was a driving force in the discovery of the hoax.
