Roy F. Guste, Jr. is the
author of 10Louisiana French-Creole cuisine cookbooks and a past fifth generation proprietor of New Orleans' famedAntoine's Restaurant, established in 1840. Guste, a noted Creole culinary historian and resident of the historicFrench Quarter ofNew Orleans for more than three decades, grew up in theGarden District, New Orleans and studied at theLe Cordon Bleu . He is a contributor to the nationally released multi-award-winning book "Orleans Embrace with the Secret Gardens of the Vieux Carré", a compendium withTJ Fisher andLouis Sahuc . The commemorative edition garnered double gold at the prestigiousPublishers Marketing Association PMA Benjamin Franklin Awards 2007 for “The Best New Voice Nonfiction” and “The Bill Fisher Award for Best First Book Nonfiction.” The book received 10 national book awards. Guste is the nephew ofLouisiana 's longest-serving Attorney GeneralWilliam J. Guste .References cited
