Kent Smetters is an Associate Professor of Insurance and Risk Management at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. From 2001 to 2002, Smetters was Deputy Assistant Secretary of Economic Policy, in the US Department of Treasury. Professor Smetters has written on government debt and social security policy.
