It is part of a global movement that is driven by apassion forclean technology ,sustainable development , the environment, and a desire to invokechange through people's actions.It seeks to promote its cause by bringing various stakeholders together onto one platform to have meaningful discourse and provide pragmatic solutions to the
climate change issues theworld faces today. In particular, it seeks to promote interest amongst thegrassroots andstudents , offering opportunities for greater interaction between them and theindustry .Vision

Energy Carta comprises over 30 student members with diverse
international andleadership experiences, with members from different parts of the world such asChina ,India ,Malaysia ,Bangladesh ,Singapore andKenya . In addition, a significant part of its team has spenttime working internationally in numerous industries and studying in prestigiousuniversities across theUS ,Europe ,China andSingapore , includingStanford University ,Wharton School of theUniversity of Pennsylvania ,Fudan University , theRoyal Institute of Technology (KTH)Sweden KTH and theNational University of Singapore (NUS). Many of them have lead teams to organize international conferences and competitions including Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations,Start-Up@Singapore and BioBiz. Energy Carta aims to foster continuous efforts in promoting interest in
clean energy among thegrassroots and other stakeholders through:1. Organizing an annual flagship
conference onenergy related issues, the first of which is a regionalstudent conference in Oct ’08 focused onclean energy , targeting 200-300students .2. Smaller scale events such as panel sessions, lecture series, round table discussions and job fairs organized on a monthly basis for an audience of 50-100 students.
3. Collaborating with relevant
university departments,institutes andcompanies in pursuing hands-on activities pertaining totechnology ,policy andmarket research .4. Sourcing for
internship , job opportunities, commercial,research and technicalprojects for its members to engage in.5. Embarking on energy efficiency initiatives within the school campus.
