National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan

National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan (NOC) is a sports governing body that was established in 1992. The office of the NOC is located in the center of the city, on Aini Street in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. It concerns the matters related to the Olympics.

Tajikistan made its debut as an independent nation at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, United States, and 2008 Beijing Olympic Games were the forth in appearance and first time to win Olympic Medals. Rasul Boqiev won his first Olympic Bronze Medal in Judo under 73kg and Yusup Abdusalomov won his first Olympic Silver Medal in Free-style Wrestling under 84kg. Both medals are the first ever Olympic Medals for Tajikistan since its independence in 1991.
