Geordie Sharp

Geordie Sharp is the main fictional character in a series of fiction books written by Chris Ryan. He is a Sergeant in the British Special Air Service (SAS), he is the character in four best-selling books. He has many different mission such as one where he is posted to the Northern Ireland Troop where a member of his family are killed by the Provisional Irish Republican Army (PIRA) which leads to his personal hatred of the PIRA which eventually leads to a vendetta against Declan Farrell who is a leading player in the PIRA, who Geordie sets out to stalk and kill.

Fictional Character Story

Geordie Sharp had an unhappy child hood which prompted him to join the British Army at the age of 16. When he eventually was badged a member of 22 Regiment Special Air Service he felt as if his life had actually been worth living, through the best and worst of the times. But this begins to change, when Geordie returns from Gulf War 1 where he was severely wounded, he finds his home life in tatters at the least, while trying to keep his family together he is posted out of the country to Northern Ireland to train with the SAS Troop stationed their already, and when one of his family are murdered in a PIRA attack he engages in a personal battle to get the man responsible running the risk of being Returned To Unit (RTUd). He finds himself thrown into danger again when he is forced to assassinate the Prime Minister or his son and his wife are murdered which is a revenge attack by the PIRA for his murder of Declan Farrell. Years after this event he is sent to Moscow, Russia where he is assigned to plant devices under The Kremlin but when two members of the team are kidnapped and KGB have control over the device things go badly wrong.
