Oakbank was originaly founded as Keighley Boy's Grammar School, and became a Comprehensive School in the 1970s. It used to be a 13-18
upper school but reverted back to and 11-18 secondary school in the Milleniuem reorganisation.Curriculum
The school performs well under the England average at GCSE and A level; in this respect it is not much different to many schools in Bradford LEA.
