extinct genus from a well known class offossil marinearthropod s, thetrilobite s. It lived from 501-490 million years ago during theDresbachian faunal stage of the lateCambrian Period .
The Genus was established by RESSER in the year 1935, the type species is "Weeksinia unispina" (WALCOTT, 1916) from theWeeks Fm. at the North Canyon, Millard County, Utah.Charles Doolittle Walcott discriped it first as "Asaphiscus? unispinus" what show that show that he was not sure in what genus this new species belongs.References
