Henk Van Minnen was a fictional character on the Australian soap opera Home and Away, played by Damian De Montemas.

Character's background

Henk first appeared in Summer Bay as a long-time friend of former Summer Bay High Principal, Brad Armstrong. Henk arrived several weeks before Brad's wedding to Sally Fletcher and began sharing the Diner flat with Martha MacKenzie.

Rachel, Brad's sister felt uneasy around Henk. It was revealed that Henk had raped Rachel some years previous and left her shaken. Henk asked for forgiveness but Rachel refused.

Henk soon began dating Cassie Turner, Sally's foster daughter.

When Brad found out about what Henk had done to his sister, he attacked Henk, causing him to fall down the steps outside of the flat into the diner kitchen. Henk later recovered and Cassie began dating him much to the chagrin of Sally and various Summer Bay residents.

Cassie decided to temporarily leave town with Henk.

A few weeks later, Cassie returned following Brad and Sally's failed wedding. Henk didn't make a reappearance until late 2007...
