The Edge Performing Arts & Convention Centre

The Edge is New Zealand's largest performing arts and convention centre complex / organisation. It is a Council Controlled Trading Organisation of Auckland City Council and comprises:

* Aotea Centre, a modern events centre
* Aotea Square, a public square between the venues
* Auckland Town Hall, a historical building with a well-known concert venue
* Civic Theatre, a large historical atmospheric theatre

In 2006, some 1,472 events were attended by 1.26 million people.Fact|date=August 2008

Governance

The Edge has a Board of six and is Chaired by Richard Waddel and the Deputy Chair is Peter Stubbs.
