2008 FIRA Women's European Championship

Fourteen teams representing thirteen nations are taking part in the [http://www.rugby.nl/ekdames2008.htm 2008 FIRA European Championships in the Netherlands] . For the first time since 2004 both the A and B championships are being run simultaneously in the same location.

All the home nations will taking part in Pool A, along with France, Spain, Sweden and the hosts. Only Italy from the Six Nations are missing - Sweden being promoted to Pool A to fill their place. Pool B will be made up of Russia, Belgium, Germany, Romania, Finland and a "French Defence XV"
