Paolo Fossati

Paolo Fossati, born Arezzo 1938 died in Torino in 1998.
Italian author and art historian.

He studied Romance philological studies and literature at the University of Turin, Italy with Prof. Avalle and was chief editor of the publisher Einaudi for over 30 years. During his years at Einaudi, among other things, he curated the publication of the many volumes of the "Storia dell'Arte in Italia" (History of Art in Italy), the series of artist's books "Einaudi Letteratura", which included artists such as Ugo Mulas, Giulio Paolini, Bruno Munari, Giuseppe Penone, Lucio Fontana, Luigi Veronesi, Alberto Burri, Luciano Fabro among others.He taught Social History of Art and Art Criticism at the University of Bologna, in Pisa, Venice and Turin, Italy.
