"Time Out Istanbul" May 2003] ] The resulting works are edgy and surreal, attempting to bring to the screen the varied fantasies which people weave through their everyday lives; life-becoming-art, art-becoming-life. [Katrien Jacobs, 'Turkey - Let's Make Porn, Not War' in "Libi_Doc: Journeys in the Performance of Sex Art" Maska Institute for Publishing; Ljubjana, Slovenia.2005. pp. 253-265] From his earliest work in black and white photography to his current work in film, Necmi's craft is characterised by its meticulous attention to visual composition.
