Tom Scholar

Tom Scholar

Tom Scholar is a British Civil Servant who is a director [http://companyinfo.northernrock.co.uk/investorRelations/theBoard/biographies.asp] of the nationalised bank, Northern Rock and was previously Chief of Staff for Gordon Brown at 10 Downing Street.

His father, Michael Scholar, is also a Civil Servant, currently employed as the non-executive chairman of the British Government's Statistics Board.

Tom Scholar was previously an Executive Director (ED) at the World Bank. The latter part of his time there was overshadowed by a scandal which paralleled that of Paul Wolfowitz.
