Pool's Mill Bridge is a historic century-old covered bridge crossing over Settendown Creek in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains. The bridge's history actually dates back to the 1820s when Cherokee Chief George Welch constructed an open bridge at the site. After the removal of the Cherokees, the bridge changed hands several times and was eventually destroyed in the late nineteenth century. It was rebuilt as a covered bridge by Bud Gentry in 1901 and, with the exception of a 1998 revamp to ensure its longevity, the bridge stands today virtually as it did a century ago with its vintage lattice design. Pool's Mill Bridge is now part of a public park located in Forsyth County, Georgia.
