Contraband was a Sydney hard rock band, previously known as Finch. The band formed as Stillwater in 1973 and changed its name soon after to Finch. In 1978, after signing a deal in the US with CBS's subsidiary label, Portrait Records, the name was changed again to Contraband [ [http://www.nostalgiacentral.com/music/finch.htm Nostalgia Central] Finch/Contraband] . The band broke up in 1979.Former band members include Mark Evans (AC/DC) and Bob Spencer (Skyhooks, The Angels).
