The Succession to the Crown Act 1707 is an Act of Parliament of the Parliament of Great Britain which is still in force in the United Kingdom with amendments. [UK-SLD|1516244|Succession to the Crown Act 1707] The long title is "An Act for the Security of Her Majesties Person and Government and of the Succession to the Crown of Great Britain in the Protestant Line."
The Act was passed at time when Parliament was anxious to ensure Protestant succession on the death of Queen Anne to the House of Hanover.
