Born in Romania, Sergiu Pobereznic moved to England at 11 and trained at the Royal Ballet School. He joined The Royal Ballet in 1986, becoming a Soloist in 1990. He transferred to Birmingham Royal Ballet in 1993 and was promoted to Principal in 1997.
As well as possessing a beautiful classical line, demonstrated in performances as Siegfried in
Swan Lake , Franz inCoppélia and the Prince inThe Nutcracker , Sergiu's versatile dynamism sees him also excelling in more modern repertory.
