Bryan J. Baldelli was born in
New York onJanuary 16 ,1980 . Before receiving a scholarship (academic and athletic) to attend theUniversity of Texas , he attendedChaminade High School , were he played baseball, football and basketball. He was at the University of Texas from 1998 to 2002. He played running back for the Longhorns. During his college football career he ran for 5,726 yards, 73 touchdowns, and had 712 receptions for 2,889 yards and 28 touchdowns. He also played CF and 1B for the Longhorns baseball team and batted .435, had 823 hits, 98 home runs, and 497 RBIs. Following his graduation, he was drafted by theSt. Louis Cardinals in the 23rd round. Following his rapid promotion from Single APalm Beach County Cardinals to theMemphis Redbirds , he had his major league debut against theAtlanta Braves onAugust 18 ,2004 . He went 3-4 with 2 singles, a double, and 4 RBIs. He later went on to have a five-year career in which he played CF and batted .301 with 822 hits, 578 RBIs, 121 Home-runs, and 310 stolen bases. He now works at a company called Structure Tone in New York.External links
