Gilbert Ronald Bainbridge

Professor Gilbert Ronald Bainbridge B.SC., Ph.D., D.P.A., C.Eng., F.I.E.E., F.Inst.P., J.P., was a nuclear physicist, engineer and farmer.

Born 28 November 1925 felling Gateshead, Co Durham. Died 13 Aug 2003 Glan Rhos Nursing Home. Anglesey

Jarrow County Secondary School and Durham University.Bachelor of Science, Doctor of philosophy, Chartered Engineer.

1945-The Admiralty- Greenock– Torpedo research Faslane

1951-Paisley Technical College-Glasgow- Lecturer

1954- Macmaster University-Hamilton, Ontario Canada-ResearcherResearch using Mass spectrometry into light emissions from Stars-funded by United States Air force Strategic command.

1957-United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority- Warrington- Assistant Chief Engineer, Also Health and Safety Executive and Representative to the British Council and Uratom.

Construction, control and development of laboratories and nuclear reactors at;
