Molly Kroll

Molly Kroll

Molly Kroll is a fictional character on the Showtime television network series "The L Word", shown nationally in the United States. She is played by Clementine Ford, the daughter of actress Cybill Shepherd. In a case of art imitating life, Molly is the daughter of Cybill's on-screen character Phyllis Kroll. Molly appears in season 5 of "The L Word" as Shane McCutcheon's Love interest, although straight their relationship seems to blossom near the end of season 5. At the beginning of season 4, Molly is beginning her junior year at Vassar. Her parents are Leonard and Phyllis Kroll and she has a younger sister, Sophie. At first, Molly is very hesitant to get involved with Shane. After first kissing Shane, Molly freaks out and asks Shane to take her back to her mother's house, as Shane had predicted she would if they ever hooked up. Eventually though, Molly calls Shane during a blackout and asks her to come over. Soon after she arrives, Molly and Shane sleep together, with Phyllis eventually walking in on them. Phyllis lectures Molly on Shane's lack of education, but Molly doesn't seem to care, although she acknowledges Shane as "uneducated". Shane overhears this and ignores Molly. Molly follows Shane and the girls to the Pink Ride and stalks Shane until she gives in and lets her talk to her. During the Pink Ride, Molly and Shane grow closer and when arriving back in LA, they seem to have formed a genuine fondness for each other. Molly seems to really care for shane, but Shane is afraid of what Phylis told her at a party, about hurting her daughter and not being worthy of her. So shane hits on another girl in front of Molly and the relationship is on hold for now.
