"Lovely to See You" is a 1969 song by the progressive rock band The Moody Blues. It was written by the band's guitarist Justin Hayward, and was recorded and released in 1969 on the Moody Blues Album "On the Threshold of a Dream".

As with the two previous Moody Blues' albums ("Days of Future Passed" and "In Search of the Lost Chord"), "On the Threshold of a Dream" opens with a short spoken-word interlude that introduced the overall theme of the album. On "On the Threshold of a Dream", the opening poem is titled "In the Beginning", which written by Graeme Edge. "In the Beginning" includes many electronic sounds, and begins the album's overall theme of dreams (which is explained by comparing human dreams with the idea of technology). The end of "In the Beginning" then fades into the opening of "Lovely to See You".

On most of the Moody Blues' compilation albums including "Lovely to See You," the very end of "In the Beginning" is still heard at the beginning of the song.

Despite not being released as a single, "Lovely to See You" can be considered the album's most popular song, and is often performed in concert. "Lovely to See You" even became more popular than the album's only single "Never Comes the Day", which itself was a commercial flop.

The song's popularity also led the Moody Blues to name one of their live albums after it. "" was recorded at a performance at the Greek Theater, and was released in 2005, with the song "Lovely to See You" as the lead track.
