"Hamsayehaa" (Persian:همسايه‌ها) which means Neighbors in English, is the debut studio album by singer Siavash Shams first released by Avaaz Records in 1985 and then by Caltex Records in 1988. Hamsayehaa is Siavash's most successful, famous and critically acclaimed album. The album broke all Persian sales records in the U.S., Europe and Canada, selling over 500,000 copies that year, with its breakthrough single, "Persian Girl" or "Dokhtar Irouni". To this day Hamsayehaa is the best selling persian album of all time, out side of Iran after the Iranian revolution. It was also the best selling persian album of the 80s and 90s. The album was the first Persian pop album by someone as young as Siavash. The album features lyrics by the legendary poet Leila Kasra (aka Hadieh) who died of cancer in 1989, was produced by the well known producer Elton Farokh Ahi, and was promoted by Alireza Amirghassemi who was also the creative consultant and manager of Siavash Shams during the 80s.
