Rebeka Dremelj (born July 25 1980 in Brežice, Slovenia, at the time SR Slovenia, Yugoslavia) is a singer, model, fashion designer, actress and TV presenter. She was chosen to represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, Serbia with the song Vrag naj vzame.

Professional & Personal life

Rebeka Dremelj, a singer and Miss Slovenia 2001, is a true Slovene phenomenon. She is the only person who will have been representing Slovenia in two different fields. It was on the Miss World Talent Show in 2001 where she landed the outstanding second place and thus signed a contract with Sony Records London. The second time, she will be representing Slovenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. She had over 150 performances in the last year and is used performing; the Slovene public is therefore not in doubt about her charisma on the biggest European stage. She is considered a dynamic and energetic singer, who owns her own underwear label called Rebeka's Dream. Rebeka first shot to fame when she represented Slovenia at the Miss World 2001 contest. After her success at Miss World, Rebeka started pursuing careers in both music and fashion. She is one of the most popular singers of Slovenia and also has her own underwear collection called "Rebeka's Dream!", which she promotes by posing for the advertisements.Rebeka has also established herself as a successful actress by starring in the Slovenian movie "Na svoji Vesni" and several television series and soaps.

Rebeka is a good friend of Željko Joksimović, who is a very popular singer across the former Yugoslavia. She also paid homage to the late Macedonian singer Toše Proeski by performing at his tribute show. She represented Slovenia in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade, 2008, but did not proceed to the final
