Filming Othello

"Filming Othello" is the last feature film directed by Orson Welles. Produced for West German television in 1978, it is a documentary on the tumultuous history of the making of Welles' 1952 classic Othello. Two of Welles' collaborators on the original film, Micheal MacLiammóir and Hilton Edwards, join Welles in an extended luncheon conversation on the making of the original film. "Filming Othello" was not shown in the U.S. until 1987, when it had its American theatrical debut at the Film Forum in New York.
