Millie Helper on "The Dick Van Dyke Show " in the 1960s andYetta Rosenberg (Fran Drescher 's doddering grandmother) on "The Nanny" in the 1990s. At one point in the latter she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror (thinking it was a door) and said, "There's Millie!".Guilbert began her entertainment career as a featured performer and singer in the "Billy Barnes Revues" of the 1950s and 1960s.
Following the
Dick Van Dyke Show , she went on to appear in many television shows as minor characters, including multiple guest spots playing different characters on "The Andy Griffith Show " (just like the Van Dyke show, also produced byDesilu Studios ), "Emergency! " and "Picket Fences ", as well as two appearances as the character Evelyn in the 3rd and 7th seasons of "Seinfeld ". Most recently, she appeared in the 2007 season premiere of "Law & Order SVU ".She has appeared in the films "
A Guide for the Married Man ", "Viva Max! ", and "Grumpier Old Men " (as the mother ofSophia Loren ).Guilbert is the mother of actress
