Bhadrak Institute of Engineering & Technology

Bhadrak Institute of Engineering & Technology (BIET) in Orissa, India, was established in the year 1982 as a Diploma Institute with the initiative of some prominent citizens, academicians and politicians and support from the Government of Orissa. The Degree programme started in the year 1997, Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course in 1998 and Master of Business Administration (MBA) course in the year 2002.

BIET is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). Also there is an ISTE student's chapter, which conducts seminars/workshops and other related activities from time to time.

Location

The Institute is located at Barapada, about 8 km away from Bhadrak town and 140 km away from Bhubaneswar to Calcutta on NH - 5, away from the town's polluting and noisy environment of the town to provide an ideal academic atmosphere. Bhadrak, the district headquarters is well connected by rails and roads.BIET has a very good infrastructure,three boys hostels and two ladies hostels inside the college campus,very few colleges in orissa have such a good facility.

Courses

Degree, MCA and MBA courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, recognized by Government of Orissa and affiliated to Biju Pattnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela. The Diploma courses are affiliated to State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training (SCTE & VT), Orissa.
