Richard W. Winder (born 1924) has been a mid-level leader in
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) for much of the last few decades.Winder was born in
Salt Lake City ,Utah .Winder served as an LDS Church missionary in

Barbara W. Winder , who would later become a general president of the LDS Church'sRelief Society . The Winders made their living by running Winder Dairy.In the LDS Church, Winder served as a bishop,
stake president andRegional Representative of the Twelve . ["LDS Church News",May 4 2002 .] Winder also served as president of the church'sCalifornia San Diego Mission.In 1990, when the Czechoslovakia Mission of the church was reorganized after the
fall of communism , Winder was apointed as the president of that mission.
