The Texas Stars are an announced American Hockey League team. They will begin play in Cedar Park, Texas in the 2009-10 hockey season. The team will be the top affiliate of the NHL Dallas Stars. In April 2008, the Iowa Stars announced that they would no longer affiliate with the Dallas Stars.
