Yoshihiro Nagawato (born 14 June, 1977), better known by his ring name, Hirotoshi Nagawa, is a Japanese professional wrestler currently working for Empire State Wrestling (ESW), in New York City, NY.

Career

Nagawa started out training in ESW's (Formerly known as Demolition World Wrestling) Training School, in East Rutherford, New Jersey at the age of 22. He was a fast progressor considering he had come from no kind of wrestling background in his home city of Tokyo.

When Empire State Wrestling, then known as DWW, started out in 2003, Hirotoshi Nagawa had his first match against the equally- inexperienced Carl Zodiac, which he lost. After the loss, Nagawa became a heel competitor and 8 months later, made a stable with fellow Japanese wrestler, Tiroshi.

In 2005, Nagawa competed in an ESW World Championship Triple Threat Rage In A Cage Match against Ultimo Big and then-ChampionApocalypse, in which he picked up a torn lat muscle, so lost.

Perhaps the most outstanding moment of Nagawa's career was breaking the ankle of Dan Crusher by dropping a cinder block on it, after he and Tiroshi had lost a tag match to Crusher and Danny Gimondo. Dan Crusher was out of action for 5 months before he returned to in-ring action in a Tag Team Street Fight, teaming with Gimondo against Nagawa and Tiroshi. The latter lost the match after a Backbreaker/Running Bionic Elbow combo to Nagawa.

Personal life

Hirotoshi Nagawa has a three-year-old son and a wife, whom he married in 2000.
