radio station broadcasting a format. Licensed toDansville, Steuben County, New York , USA. The station is currently owned by Miller Media Inc.The station is located such that the broadcast at times reaches as far north as Pittsford, NY, to the Pennsylvania border to the south.
In 2003, WDNY-FM moved from its original location to a new office and studio two blocks away. The new location is located within an old Main Street building and still contains the original ornate tin ceiling.
WDNY carries live broadcasts of local sporting events as well as up-to-the-minute weather forecasts and local news. WDNY-FM's 'Five-County News' is broadcast live in the mornings with News Director Terry Van at 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 and at 12:00 PM, and in the afternoons with Derek Land at 5:00. Special programming at WDNY includes the Mark Miller Show, hosted weekday mornings by station owner and Program Director Mark Miller accompanied by News Director Terry Van. Weekday afternoons feature the Classic Car Ride Home with Derek Land, with a live request line. Live sporting events are covered on-location by Sports Director Frank Williams. In the spring of 2008, the station began live streaming of sporting events on their website. On Saturday mornings, the station hosts the Five-County News Weekend Edition, with Terry Van and Derek Land, which includes breaking events and recaps of major news occurring in the area over the past work week.
Each year the station hosts a live on-air auction, allowing callers to place bids over the radio. This feature is usually held in the late winter.
