Bartleby Clown College

Bartleby Clown College

Bartleby Clown College was a short-lived facility for the training of clowns and other circus performers, not unlike the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College, which it preceded by over a decade. It was founded in Jonesboro, Arkansas, in 1952 due to the town's extensive railroad connections. However, it received little support and was forced to close its doors in 1959. The loss of Arkansas only clown college dissapointed many in the industry.
