Eurocrem

Eurocrem

Eurocrem is a kind of two-colored (brown and white) hazelnut and milk creme, produced by [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Swisslion-Takovo&action=edit Swisslion-Takovo] company based in Gornji Milanovac, about 120km south of Belgrade in Serbia. As something of a national product, Eurocrem was marketed under the slogan "For the Growing Generation", accompanied by an image of a slice of bread covered half with brown and half with white creme.

History

Eurocrem was introduced to the Ex-Yugoslavia market in 1972, supposedly under license from the Italian company, Gandola. Italian company Gandola still produces it's original chocolate spread.

Eurocrem was initially offered in only one flavor variant (hazelnut and vanilla) while recent additions to the range include banana, strawberry, coconut and caramel flavors. The recently-added flavors were not as popular, probably because consumers preferred to keep to the initial version. Numerous package types and sizes have been made available, including PVC and glass containers of sizes ranging from 15g to 5kg.
