- Brant Kersey
Brant Raymond Kersey (born May 19, 1978) is the
Saskatchewan publisher of sevennewspaper s. He was born in the town ofInvermere, British Columbia and grew up in Radium Hot Springs with his parents, Bryan and Joanne and two older brothers, Jade and Dustin.Brant migrated to Saskatchewan in the mid 90's to play
junior hockey for theEstevan Bruins of theSJHL . During he tenure with the Bruins Brant was a captain of a team that won the SJHL championship,Anavet Cup Championship and attended the Royal Bank Cup.After his three year stint with the Estevan Bruins Brant attended college in
Wisconsin ,U.S.A. . There he received his B.A. communication with an emphasis in journalism.Following college Brant returned to Estevan to work for the Estevan Mercury, a strong weekly newspaper publication in southeast Saskatchewan. He worked there for a few years before venturing off to a new position and title for the
Wheat City Journal inBrandon, Manitoba . There he did sales.In July 2006 Brant, with his wife Jennifer, started their own company and purchased four newspapers: The Canora Courier (Canora, SK); [cite web
