Villebaudon is a
village and commune in theManche "département" of north-westernFrance .ee also
Villebaudon is located on the crossroads of the D999 and the D13. The village has a bakery that produces some very fine breads and pastries, a butchers with very good local meats, a small village store (EPI) with a bar attached, another bar with a restaurant attached, a Les Routieres bar, a post office, and a small agricultural shop.
The village was liberated during operation 'COBRA' the breakout by the American army on the 29th July 1944 after some very heavy fighting lasting 13 hours, 11 German tanks were destroyed and 180 German defenders killed.
