Principal photography for the final film was conducted in Sydney Australia, and the character's scenes were shot with Bowers. Additional scenes were filmed in England, so rather than fly Bowers to England, Lucas had Blake reprise the role. The character's appearance was done with make-up rather than CGI effects.
